Jonathan “Dedward” Hernandez graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in 2005. Despite this meaningless degree and subsequent minimum-wage soul-crushing average-Joe day job, he is an aspiring free-lance painter. Is this a viable way of life? We'll see.

Jonathan is a figurative Painter/Illustrator whose artwork has been informed, and inspired by Gothic literature, folklore, dreams and nature.
What is An Eldritch Dystopia? A couple a' big words I strung together to suggest some kinda nightmarish landscape full of creeping vines and crumpling cyclopean ruins built by creatures from beyone the moon.
What my paintings are really about are the internal and unspoken urges and motivations that make up the human psyche, as interpreted by someone who has little faith in the "inherent goodness" of the human psyche. Or maybe I just like bugs.
